Demerrio Alistaire Tobler was born on August 15, 1984 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Cynthia Denise Tobler and Roger Steve Willis.
Demerrio aka Dee, attended Orange Park Elementary School in Clay County, FL, where he resided with his mother until her demise in 1995. Later that year, he moved to Ft. Myers, FL with his Aunt, Debbie Tobler, who continued to nurture him in his upbringing. He continued his education in the Lee County School District. When he reached his high school age and entered 9th Grade, he attended Ft. Myers High School with his cousin, Tatiana Cameron and resided with his Aunt, her mother, Sherie Tobler. He remained living with his Aunt Sherie and his cousins throughout his High School years where they graduated together in 2002.
Demerrio went on to attend Edison Community College, also in Ft. Myers, FL, where he studied music. He later changed his major to hospitality and moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where he attended the University of South Florida ( USF ). He would have earned his bachelor's degree at the end of 2017.
Demerrio loved God as a child growing up. He was a member of Jerusalem Church of God In Christ ( JCOGIC ) under the leadership of Pastor Kinnus Paul until he moved to St. Petersburg, FL.
In the summer of 2009, Elder Tobler joined the Holy Temple Cathedral Pentecostal Church of St. Petersburg. Beginning as a regular member, Elder Tobler worked tirelessly through the ranks of the church, moving from a Deacon to a Minister of the Gospel and finally, on July 30, 2016, being ordained as an Elder in the church of our Lord. For a short time in 2013, while attending school in Sarasota, FL, Elder Tobler moved his membership to Living Hope Church, under the Pastorate of Pastor Ruby Robinson, but retained membership with Holy Temple Church, once his schooling was completed. There was not a church ministry too small or too large for Elder Tobler to try his hand at. He worked vigorously as the Youth Pastor of Holy Temple Church, as well as the Praise and Worship Team Leader. Elder Tobler could be found after each service selling chips, candy, and soda for the youth department fundraisers. He was also the church finance administrator. Elder Demerrio A. Tobler was held in high regard by all that knew him, especially his pastor, Bishop Zema J. Florence, III and First Lady Shaneeta Florence serving as the Adjutant Apostolic to the Presiding Bishop, until his transition.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Denise Tobler and his grandparents, William "Dub" Tobler and Pearlie Tobler.
